Yibo Fu

I’m a creative technologist, designer, fabricator & HCI researcher. I believe in a physical world of ‘ambient computing’. I love how design has the potential to make science & technology weird/fun/clever/uesful. I’m always inspired by how things function and how they're fabricated both by nature and by humans.

I write code in cpp, js & python, specializing in embedded system/physical computing and tangible human computer interaction. I love using Arduino or Raspberry Pi to play with electricity’s magic power of impacting almost anything and I made an Arduino from scratch. As an industrial designer, I do 3D modeling in Rhinoceros and Alias(learning Grasshopper). In my spare time, I mess around withC4D & Arnold/Octane renderer to create non-existing world.

I enjoy hands-on stuff. I have experience in many fabrication processes including 3D printing, CNC milling, vinyl cutting, laser cutting, lathe, machine sewing, soldering, casting, etc. And I’m extermely interested in fabrication-inspired/innovated ideas.
