Yibo Fu
I’m a creative technologist, designer, fabricator & researcher. I enjoy turning trivial science & technology phenomenon into ‘magical moments’ for designed interactions.
I code in C++ (mostly Arduino), JavaScript, and Python, with a specialization in front-end development, embedded systems and firmware design. I frequently play around with Arduino and Raspberry Pi to bring ideas to life and I made an Arduino from scratch.
As a former industrial designer, I am proficient in 3D modeling (CAD), such as tools like Rhinoceros & Grasshopper, Fushion 360 and Alias. In my creative explorations, I also delve into the realms of C4D & Arnold/Octane renderer, crafting worlds that transcend reality.
Beyond digital design, I am deeply engaged in hands-on fabrication. My experience encompasses a wide array of processes including 3D printing, CNC milling, vinyl cutting, laser cutting, lathe work, machine sewing, THT/SMT soldering, injection molding and casting. This hands-on approach fuels my fascination with fabrication-inspired ideas/concepts.
